100% Nebbiolo from the epic 2013 vintage from the renowned Bussia Cru, it was destemmed and macerated for a few days. Subsequently, fermentation was in steel tanks for about 7 days with regular punch-downs and pump-overs. Post-fermentative maceration for about 25 days, before further ageing in oak tonneau.
On the 2018 vintage:
"Complex aromas of red berries, spiced meat, dried porcini and other sous-bois notes. Some orange peel, too. Full-bodied with fine tannins that are well sunk in the wine and a long, dense and balanced finish of fruit and oak-spice. Excellent quality here, showing the structure and complexity of Bussia. Best from 2025. Score - 95." (jamessuckling.com, Oct. 2, 2022)
