Grape Variety: Welschriesling (also known locally as Rizling vlašský)
Grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed. The juice is fermented in open casks in contact with the skins for about two weeks, punched down by hand. The wine is aged in 500-litre barrels for about nine months on the sediment. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered under crown cap, with zero addition of sulfur.
A fascinating wine, that keeps developing in the glass and bottle, so try not to drink it at once but enjoy with friends over a couple of hours and see how it evolves. Full and juicy, with apricot, caramel, walnut and dried herbs.
