The vineyards consist of sandy gravel, schist and limestone, planted with 40+-year-old vines. A moderating influence from the large nearby Lake Neusiedler keeps this wine very fresh. After fermentation, the wine spends a great deal of time in barrel in contact with oxygen and is pressed under very light pressure.
