Made by a true artisan and vocal exponent of the uniqueness of the Roero terroir, Luca Faccenda's Roero Arneis is a structured and mineral white wine, which shows a typical straw yellow colour. It presents an intense floral and fruited perfume, with notes of white flowers, pear, peach, pineapple and passion fruit. When you drink it, it develops a great acidity and freshness, in addition to a delectable taste and a great structure. Intense and persistent, this wine is perfect if drunk not only in combination with fish platters, but also with cheeses and meat.
On the 2022 vintage:
"100% Arneis. One-third of the vines are on sandy soil delivering lower yields of grapes with thicker skins and loser bunches. This part is fermented in 26-hl oak cask. The other two-thirds is whole-bunched pressed and spontaneously fermented in stainless steel helped by a pied de cuve prepared five days earlier.
Deep golden straw. Deep, concentrated quince nose with a hint of white flowers and pure mandarin. The palate is super-elegant and light, but not short of fruit and endlessly long. The 14% is quite unbelievable as it is much lighter on the palate than you’d expect. (WS)"
