The Langhe Rosso Giulietta is a red wine produced from Pelaverga grapes, native to Piedmont but unfortunately quite rare nowadays. It's a light, bright and fragrant variety with plenty of charm. The majority of the fruit here comes from Olek’s Roncagliette vineyard in Barbaresco which is blessed with a southern exposure and firm clay-limestone soils. This spends a couple of weeks on skins, before being pressed off to rest for a year in tank. It has the classic notes of of strawberries and raspberries, with spicy and herbal aromas, and a hint of tannin as well. A smooth, and joyful wine, with a touch of Olek's whimsy.
