These old vines of Chardonnay (between 1968 and 1975) are planted on 1.2 hectare in Clos in Montgueux, where the topsoil is hard chalk. This is the only one of the Champagne region's 13 Clos that is situated in the Aube. The wine is aged in four different barrels: one from Fan-fan Ganevat in the Jura, one from Macon-Solutré, and two from Cognac.
With notes of citrus and crisp yellow apples, as well as white flowers and pastry, this a full-bodied Champagne with a chalky, racy minerality.
