Fruit for the Dutraives’ ‘Le Clos’ cuvée comes from 80-year-old vines on a small plateau in Fleurie, where only the oldest vines in the deepest soils are selected. Like their other cuvées, it is vinified with native yeasts, undergoes semi-carbonic maceration, and ages in neutral French oak. Silky and smooth, the wine shows flavors of cherry, cloves, and a hint of black pepper.
