Lieu-dit Champagne is one of Fleurie's most exquisite vineyards, from a 1.5 ha plot of vines planted between the 1950s and 1980s. A wine that is rich and joyful with a long capacity for ageing. The vineyard name simply means countryside in the local dialect, and until recently, since the name predates the famous sparkling wine, the Beaujolais was granted historic authority to use it on their labels. However, this changed two years ago, thus necessitating the slight tweak on the label.
