Arbane is an ancient grape variety from the Aube, that many growers stopped cultivating over the years. It's quite low yielding, with small grapes and sensitive to blight, powdery mildew and spring frosts. Because it's also a late ripening grape variety, it does not ripen every year and is a risk for grape growers.

In warm years however, it produces an excellent wine with great bouquet. Fortunately Horiot is one of the few producers who keeps producing this rare and unique wine, and we're proud to offer it in Ontario. 

Notes of citrus, pear, pineapple and white flowers are combined with a pure minerality and perfect mouthfeel.
