Carefully, hand-selected grapes; 100% Pinot Noir from 20 year-old ungrafted vines. The wine shows strawberry, cherry, mint, sage and floral notes. Light-bodied and light in color, but very big on flavour.
Stefan has run the estate since 1999, when he was only 18 years old, and today farms 12 hectares, many of which are on steep slopes. Stefan combines the traditional values of the region with modern techniques and is always experimenting. He is devoted to organic viticulture and believes great wines can only be made in harmony with nature. Therefore, his cellar is completely void of additives: no yeasts or accelerators are added and no acidification or deacidification is done.
All Stefan’s wines are unique and expressive, showing the characteristics of the varieties and vineyards. They are truly some of the best that the classic Mosel region has to offer, with an exceptional balance of acidity and fruit.
