The Côteaux Champenois En Vieux Fombrés by Doyard is a white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes harvested in 2017 from the lieu-dit "Vieux Fombrés" planted in 1956 near Vertus, a Premier Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. Fermentation and ageing for about 15 months in oak barrels before bottling.
On the 2017 vintage:
"The 2017 Coteaux Champenois Blanc En Vieux Fombrés has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of pear, walnuts, lemon, nutmeg and spices. Medium-bodied, elegantly fleshy and incisive, it's bright and chalky, with a mineral, delicately oak-inflected finish."
