Type: Sparkling
Vintage: 2019
Grape variety: Meunier
Country: France
Appellation: Champagne
100% Meunier. Completely vinified in barrels, this is a very unique wine in their range. With a very small dosage, this is a Champagne that clearly reveals the notes of Meunier, with a great salinity.
On the 2018 vintage:
"The 2018 Extra Brut Mont Martin Villers Allerand Premier Cru is a pure Pinot Meunier from a massal selection planted in the 1970s in Villers Allerand and vinified in oak. A perfumed note of apple and lemon lift, while smoky and evocative. The palate adds a touch of melted butter to fresh, mellow apple flesh. Apple and chalk aromatics lend this a truly threedimensional edge of immense elegance. The fine, creamy mousse is remarkable, too, on this rounded but well-contoured wine. Simply beautiful, elegant, and lasting. Dosage is 2gr/L. Disgorged: August, 2022. Drinking window: 2023-2035."
