"Mid ruby. Lifted and concentrated on the nose and takes its time to open up. Marasca cherry and raspberry, perfumed with a hint of oak. Juicy and with proper concentration on the palate and plenty of supple acidity. Grainy tannins on the finish. A nicely balanced whole. Drink 2024 - 2034."

"The nose of the 2020 Barolo Le Coste Di Monforte is ripe with fresh raspberries, orange peel, dusty earth, cedar, taking on a darker profile. Medium-bodied, it has a lot of personality and a mouthwatering feel on the sides of the palate, with delicate notes of smoke and cinnamon, fine tannins, and a graceful feel. While it's approachable now, it offers a fantastic, refined structure that should keep it going over the next 10-12 years. "

"EDITORS' CHOICE. The wine offers elegant aromas of rose, red plum, and macerated cherry, entwined with incense, camphor, and a hint of savory spice, gently touched by an undertone of truffle. On the palate, the fruit is vibrant and pure, with savory accents subtly enhancing the experience. Ripe and balanced tannins make the wine accessible now, yet also indicate its capacity to age gracefully."

"The 2020 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte is redolent of iron, game, incense, scorched earth, blood orange, dark fruit and tobacco. A potent, strapping Barolo, the 2020 is certainly not for the timid. It offers tons of Monforte power, brawn and muscle. A few years in the cellar is an absolute must. Drinking Window: 2026 - 2040."
