Grape variety: Gamay
Maison En Belles Lies also produces a pure Gamay from Beaujolais, manually harvested as all other wines. The grapes are macerated for 4 weeks in whole clusters with a spontaneous fermentation in old oak. Further aged for 18 months in oak barrels. With notes of red fruits and liquorice, full and fruity but soft, and with fine tannins, this wine goes perfectly with mushrooms and red meats.
