Type: White

Grape: Fiano
Country: Italy
Appellation: Fiano di Avellino
This wine is sourced from the Pietramara vineyard in Altripalda at over 420m above sea level. Fermentation takes place at cool temperatures in order to preserve the fine fruit and mineral-laden character for which the grape is so famous. A superb expression of this Campanian white varietal: fresh and mineral, slightly smoky with notes of lemon peel and pear. Medium body, excellent fruit, long finish carries a note of grilled pineapple and dried fruits.
"Crushed dried flowers, young mango, incense and smoke waft up from the 2020 Fiano di Avellino Pietramara. It's delicate and remarkably pretty, lulling you back to the glass with its understated beauty. Notes of almond come together with ripe orchard fruits and minerals on the palate, creating a decidedly savory display. A salty flourish lingers impossibly long through the lightly structured finale, along with hints of sour citrus. The 2020 Pietramara needs a bit more time to fully express itself, but it will be worth waiting for. Drinking window 2023-2027."
