This Riserva (100% Nebbiolo) is made only in the best vintages in small quantities, from a single vineyard based in Audinaggio (Valmaggiore MGA), in the municipality of Vezza d'Alba. The original core of this vineyard dates back to 1947 and the steep slope of the hill only allows manual processing. It is known for its sandy soils and southeast to south exposure. The fermentation and maceration changes based on the vintage and on its climatic conditions, usually lasting a couple of weeks. After the ageing in casks, the wine is bottled in the waning moon of autumn following the harvest, ready to be enjoyed after a further rest in bottle for almost two years.
