Old vine Favorita from Dave Fletcher's new project Cantina della Stazione. This distinctive white wine is full of elegance and finesse, perfect to accompany light dishes or an aperitif. The grapes are from 60-year-old vines in the Bricco Capre vineyard in Alba.
The harvest took place in 2 rounds. The first grapes were harvested specifically to preserve freshness and acidity. In the second run, the focus was on the fruit intensity. This approach has created a wine that is on one hand very fresh, and on the other hand perfectly ripe. On the nose you will find white flowers, subtle citrus notes, apples, with some stone fruit and a touch of almonds, constantly surrounded by a hint of flint.
Fermented with natural local yeasts, aged in old wooden barrels (for 8 months on the fine lees), no filtration. Only 2,000 bottles produced.
