Pierre made this wine from a 0.4 ha parcel of 50 year old vines, high up a southeast facing slope of 'terre blanche' (a very stony limestone-clay soil with many fossils). Of all Monthélie vineyards, only 1% is planted with Chardonnay. Aged for 15 months in 4 year old 350L barrels, this wine is elegant, with plenty of freshness and a floral touch, completed by a long and saline finish.
