Grape variety: Blend
From the Vigna Bosca vineyard (the highest in Etna at 1,200 metres), this still rosé arises directly from the vineyard itself. This wine a blend of all the white and red grapes that grow there, harvested and vinified together. Vineyard cultivation is done by hand and with a mule. Depending on the weather conditions of the vintage, if the grapes do not reach a potential alcohol content of 11% naturally, Salvo creates a metodo classico sparkling wine out of them.
On the 2020 vintage:
"The bouquet on the 2020 Rosato Vino Vinudilice reminds me more of a mint-infused strawberry herbal tea than wine, as it lifts from the glass with its enticing perfume. This soothes with soft, enveloping textures that usher in notes of sour green melon and ginger, with tropical florals that form toward the close. It finishes amazingly fresh while leaving hints of mint leaf and young kiwi to linger. While quite unique, the 2020 Rosato Vinudilice is also quite stunning."
