Edelzwicker is a traditional Alsatian term for a field blend of unspecified white grapes, usually associated with cheaper wines sold by the litre. However, Christian Binner shows that this concept, when executed with passion and expertise, can lead to a delicious wine. It is a light bodied but intense wine with notes of green apple and a hint of petrol from the Riesling.
