Vintage: NV

Grape: Pinot Meunier

Country: France

Appellation: Champagne

Fruity, powerful and enjoyable, with almonds, spices and black chocolate notes. Powerful, intense and vinous in the mouth, with forest fruits, strawberry and raspberry notes. Ends with silky, pure and expressive finish. The grapes come from a parcel called “La Brousse” – Le Breuil, average age of the vines is 50 years old. The juice is macerated on the skins for about 20 hours. Aged for 40 months.

"Rich and potent, with tons of Meunier intensity the 2018 Extra Brut Rosé de Saignée ADN de Meunier dazzles from the very first taste. Spice, tobacco, game, incense, licorice and leather all build over time. I would open this well in advance, as a few hours of air really help focus the aromatics and bring out the purity of the flavors. The 2018 is fabulous and pretty much everything I am looking for in this style. Don't miss it. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: July 4, 2022. Drinking window: 2022-2030."
