"The 2019 Barolo Riserva Perno Vigna Ceretta is a new wine in this lineup. It is sourced from a southeast-facing parcel with Michet clone on marl soils that was planted in 2011. Dark and layered, the Ceretta offers up scents of leather, game, iron, crushed rocks, coffee and lavender, infusing the palate with gravel notes. The 2019 offers striking textural depth and density. Sadly, production is a mere 1,500 bottles in this debut vintage, but that is set to increase going forward. This is an incredibly distinctive Barolo from Elio Sandri. Drinking window: 2029-2044."
