"The 2019 Barolo Riserva Perno Vigna Disa ventures into the realm of exotic. It emerges from the oldest vines on the property in a south-facing block planted entirely with Lampia clone Nebbiolo. Red berry fruit, spice, blood orange, spice and iron all meld together in the glass. The 2019 needs time to come together. Despite the wine's mid-weight, classically-leaning structure, there is a touch of new oak influence from a cask that was new at the time. Drinking window: 2029-2044."
